Farewell Grandpa Bob

The morning after Thanksgiving we lost Bryan's grandfather Bob. He was such an amazing man and so sweet and funny. I feel so lucky to have known him and he was a very special person to my family as well. Grandpa Bob was the one who married Bryan and I which in itself was such a special gift he gave us. At that time he meet my parents and family. My father loved him and thought he was really special. When my father got diagnosed with cancer, Grandpa Bob would call my parents to "check in". And even after my dad died he would do the same for my mom. He was just that kind of a thoughtful man. he also had a witty sarcastic humor that was so endearing. He would send us cards or a little something for Lauren with the return address printed S.O.B. That will b one of the things I will miss the most! We were so lucky to be able to spend time with him and bring Lauren down to see him in this last year. Though she will not remember knowing him there will be the pictures. We wish him peace and happiness in God's hands and will think of him always.
